Meet Coal is a project dedicated to providing Canadians with an introduction to steelmaking or metallurgical coal. This sector is an incredible economic opportunity for communities and Canada. Unfortunately, anti-development organizations often dominate the conversation around the development of new met coal mines and in doing so, they avoid providing Canadians with the robust data and information about Canada’s met coal sector. 

We hope that this initiative informative and that it provides you with the information you need to support a growing, competitive Canadian met coal sector. We know that Canadians support mining, and want to see our natural resource sectors grow and prosper. As we know, steel is a critical component of modern life, and steel is reliant on met coal to be produced. So let’s build, and become a major supplier of this critical commodity, and not only generate jobs and economic opportunity, but be a part of the steel supply chain while providing steel and energy security to the world.
